Txtbux
Instructions
Once you have registered,
using txtbux is easy.
1. Find a book
This could be in a book shop, library, or at a friend's house. Anywhere
you want to check the price, or don't have a pen and paper to write
down its details. Locate the ISBN number - this is a unique 10 digit
number found just above the barcode.
2. Text us
Compose
a text message to us on your mobile phone
with the word txtbux followed by the ISBN number of
the book (you can miss out any punctuation or spaces).
For example, to check the prices of the latest
Harry Potter book, which has an ISBN of 0747551006, you would send
a text message containing:
txtbux 0747551006
to 07766
40 41 42 (you might want to add this to your mobile phone's
memory).
Hint 1: To enter numbers more
easily, hold the # key
for 2 seconds (Nokia)
Hint 2: To save time, you can
enter 'tb' instead of 'txtbux' - e.g. 'tb 0747551006'
3. Wait
We will automatically check the price and availability
of the book - it usually takes about 15 seconds. We will then text you back with
the details of the book. You can then choose whether you want to
buy it there and then, or buy online. We will also send an e-mail
to you, containing a link to buy online.
4. Visit www.txtbux.co.uk
A list of all the books you have enquired about will be waiting for you next
time you visit www.txtbux.co.uk - just click on the 'Recent
books' tab. If you decide to buy the book from Amazon, please use the links
provided - it means we get paid a commission to enable us to keep the site
free.
